What is changing?
Submission of Permanent Resident (PR) applications is moving from manual submission to online submission via the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website. The new system is known as E-PR and will allow applicants to submit the application form and documents online, rather than having to book an appointment to submit the application manually.
Who will be affected?
- All travelers applying for Permanent Residence in Singapore
What to Expect
Those applying for PR will have a more streamlined process; however the prevailing eligibility requirements for a PR application remain the same.
Applicants previously had to wait up to six (6) months to secure an appointment for submission of their application and take time to present the physical documents at the ICA building. The ICA will not release any more appointments for manual submission beyond what have already been released.
Revised application fees will apply after the transition.
