What has changed
On March 5, 2019, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) published a new national salary calculation tool that all cantonal labour authorities must now use when conducting remuneration checks to verify the working conditions of seconded workers (temporary Intra-Company Transfers (ICT) or workers posted at a client site to fulfill a service contract).
Who is affected
Clients who have hired or intend to employ foreign nationals in Switzerland.
What to expect
Employers must ensure that their employees posted to work in Switzerland meet the minimum salary requirement according to the new national salary tool.
