What has changed
In a Statement of Changes, dated October 29, 2015, four (4) jobs in the digital technology sector were added to the Shortage Occupation List (SOL) following a partial review of the SOL published by the Migration Advisory Committee in February. This change will go into effect on November 19, 2015.

The following jobs have been added to the Shortage Occupation List
- Product Manager
- Data Scientist
- Senior Developer
- Cyber Security Specialist
With effect from November 19, 2015 companies will no longer need to meet the Resident Labor Market test before submitting a request for a Restricted COS allocation for any of the roles listed above. Employers will be required to retain evidence that the migrant has the experience specified in the rules.
